DTX402 Touch is a dedicated iOS app designed for Yamaha DTX402 series electronic drums. The app requires you to connect your smart device to the DTX using a USB cable and a Lightning USB adapter.

Get a Drummer’s Certificate
“Challenge Mode” is a new feature on DTX402 Touch that evaluates your skills. Upon successfully playing all 10 practice songs without errors, you will be awarded a “Drummer’s Certificate” by the Yamaha DTX drum team, which can be shared across various social media platforms.

Learn While Having Fun
Created for drummers of all proficiency levels, DTX402 Touch offers 10 Training Modes to enhance your skills efficiently. These exercises provide an enjoyable way to grasp drum music notation, play dynamically, and refine your sense of rhythm. Features like "Rhythm Gate" help improve timing accuracy by restricting rhythmic play to metronome beats only. “Song Part Gate” aids in playing each song part with precise timing, while the "Recorder" function allows you to record drum solos or jam along with a track for self-assessment. Additionally, "Fast Blast" helps in monitoring the number of drum strokes within a specified timeframe to boost speed and endurance.

Make Custom Drum Kits
You can personalize each of the 10 drum kits with over 280 drum and percussion sounds available. Easily modify or select sounds by touching the drum pads on your screen and adjust attributes like tuning, volume, panning, mute, and reverb to swiftly craft your unique sound.

Simple and Intuitive Control
Through straightforward swiping gestures, you can choose and customize kits, song numbers, configure the metronome, and fine-tune the triggering parameters according to your playstyle. Access this information in Training Mode while learning preset songs via instructional videos presented by industry professionals.

Update Utility
When connected with your smart device, DTX402 Touch App ensures automatic updates for the DTX402. Alternatively, by navigating to the “Version” tab in the “Menu” screen, you can manually verify that your firmware is current without requiring PC connection or firmware downloads.
